It has been two weeks, two weeks of driving. Sleeping in churches during the night gathering supplies in abandoned town after town. I am driving right now, Melissa is on the back manning the water cannon. She can go out into daylight I guess all vampires can. She only feeds when she has to but I think she enjoys the power of a vampire. She will never settle down with one guy she has been hurt a lot so its hard for her to find a lasting relationship.

Right now we are about to enter Texas. We have heard rumors that all of South America has fallen and that Aza has taken Mexico and is about to invade Texas. He may have already have. We pull into Dallas. I stop the truck. “Melissa lets search this town Ill stay right here by the truck and drive it through the main streets use your speed to find any survivors and any supplies we could use and be careful for demons they may have made it this far but its doubtful”. “Ok James be back in a bit Ill keep in contact by radio be safe James”. “You to” she takes off at lighting speed. I start driving the truck through the town.

I see a church I stop at it and I get out. My hands light up with fire. I walk up to the steps of this old church. I see arrows stuck in the roof. I walk in the large glass doors. “Hello anyone home”. “Yes were here”. I immediately turned the flames on my hands off. “Who are you”. A figure rises up its a man dressed in priest garb. “Hello I am Father O' Neil you can call me John or Father”. “Hello Father I am James”. “We fled from Austin the town had been overrun by demons powerful demons are weapons didn't work on them. There was this girl in Austin she and a few others who had the courage to fight were held up in a high school, She has powers that can defeat the demons. She bought us time to escape we fled to this church and demons with crossbows and arrows attacked. I am the last survivor”.



“Father is she still alive”? “I do not know she is strong and her powers are as well she said “she would fight to the bitter end but that was three days ago when we saw her last”. “Thank you Father we will go to Austin and rescue her and any survivors, Father its important to know these demons cannot come on holy ground, stay in the church at night and go out only to get supplies we will come back for you” “Thank you my son now go and rescue her”. “Yes Father”.

I hope in the big red truck and I get in the drivers seat and get on the radio. “Melissa grab what supplies you can and meet me at the outskirts of town. They have invaded Texas and we have a possible guardian trapped in Austin, when you see me jump on the turret were going into battle”. “Copy I read ya James meet you at the outskirts of town in ten”. “See ya there Melissa over and out”.


I drove to the outskirts of town there she was. She quickly stuffed some supples into the tool boxes and quickly jumped onto the water turret. You gotta love vampires they move fast. I gunned the engine and headed for Austin. On the way there we saw people fleeing they looked lost and like they had given up.


We drove up to the high school, laser beams were shooting out of the clock tower. “Melissa this is James fire the water cannon at those demons on the ground”. “Yes James”. I parked right in front of the high school and Melissa starting fire the water cannon the holy water was melting the demons. With the flick of my hand a huge earth wall rose above the town blocking the passage way that the demons were coming from and I killed whatever demons were left.


I ran to the high school “you ok up there, she had blond hair and blue eyes and looked like a super model. “I am James and this is Melissa were guardians like you we are gathering all of our kind and taking them to Chicago a safe city and refuge for many thats where the others are”. “I am Grace I have the power to shoot lava from my hand and laser beams from my eyes”. All of the sudden the wall exploded and one man walked through the debris. He had a long black robe on and was carrying a staff with a white orb at the top and the orb glowed blue.

He fired a blue beam from the staff and the school and its tower was blown into a million pieces
Grace went flying from the tower and she landed on the ground next to us. “I am the great all powerful Aza leader of Satan's minions”. “You guardians will all die for your impudence”.


Electricity shot out from the staff sending us all flying against the wall. “Ok thats it”. “Lets kill him, guardians attack” Grace shot her lasers at him and I chucked balls of earth and fire at him nonstop. “Ahh No”. “Guys he falling back”. Melissa went and charged at him form the side, he aimed his staff and shot out a blue beam she went flying backwards against a brick wall. “Melissa no”. Grace then shot him three times with her laser blast when he wasn't paying attention, he fell to the ground dead and all the demons behind him turned and fled.


I ran over to Melissa “We won we beat him”. “James can you hear me”. There was a massive hole in her chest and blood was draining from her mouth. “James I love you I always have keep fighting don't let them win don't let my sacrifice been in vain”. She went limp, she was dead.



“NOOOOOOOOO” “I wont let your death been in vain”. “Grace take his staff and leave his body and go to the truck”. “Ok James”. I carried her body and placed it in the truck bed. Grace got in the front holding his staff. The drive back to Chicago was uneventful.


As soon as we got to the bottom of our headquarters building I carried Melissa body upstairs and Grace carried the staff. We got to the top floor I was holding up one end of the stretcher and Grace was holding up the other end. It all seemed surreal there were tears and shouts of no. “Jake we killed Aza but Melissa died in the process, her distraction allowed Grace over here to fire her laser beams at him killing him”. “We also were able to take his staff”. “I see”, Jake said with tears streaming down his eyes. “Jack go take the staff and study it the rest of you go up to the roof top, James bring her body up there and keep the cloth its rapped in”. “Yes sir”.


I took her body up to the roof and I laid it down on a wooden stand. Then I joined the others who were standing around her body. Jake spoke “She was a great warrior, a guardian who helped countless people thanks to her one of the grigori are dead”. “This is a great victory that came at a terrible cost'”. “Her sacrifice will not be in vain we will win this war”. We now commit your body to rest and your soul to the afterlife”. He lit the logs and her body began to burn”. “All I know is that not only have a lost a great friend but this war will continue”.
